By profession, I am a lawyer (Poland) and a qualified English ↔ Polish translator. My main areas of expertise are legal, financial, and business translation.

I learned the tricks of the trade by earning a Master's degree in Translation Studies, as well as by completing an intensive, practice-oriented postgraduate course in Legal and Economic Translation back in 2011. I have improved my skills by completing an internship at the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt am Main in 2013 and working for the ECB as a freelance lawyer-linguist ever since. I have also provided freelance translation services to an ever-growing number of translation agencies, businesses, law firms and individuals worldwide for the past 10 years.

Over the years, I have developed an interdisciplinary approach to translation, combining the knowledge of Polish, English, and American legal systems, the ability to understand and interpret the language of the law, linguistic competence, and the ability to properly apply relevant translation strategies.

Software used

Thanks to the use of specialised software (CAT tools), I can ensure consistency in terms of terminology and style, even in very long documents and between texts translated in different periods. I currently use SDL Trados Studio 2017.
